Arnold will resign from his post before the end of the season, the Red Devils confirmed in November.

In 2021, Arnold succeeded Ed Woodward as executive vice-chairman of United and played a key role in Erik ten Hag’s appointment.

Arnold has distanced himself from transfers in an effort to learn from Woodward’s mistakes, but he faced harsh criticism for how he handled Mason Greenwood’s future.

Ratcliffe, who has not hinted that he would fire Arnold, is expected to announce his 25% ownership in the team before Christmas and make substantial structural changes to the organization.

It is anticipated that Sir Dave Brailsford and Jean-Claude Blanc will play important roles in Ratcliffe’s ensemble.
