On Tuesday, Bayern Munich takes on Manchester United in the Champions League.

Prior to the match, Jamal Musiala spoke from the Old Trafford press room.

He and Thomas Tuchel both had nothing but praise for the stadium.

Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich spoke highly of Old Trafford.

Before his Bayern Munich team takes on Manchester United at the storied stadium on Tuesday night in the Champions League, Jamal Musiala gave a glowing speech about Old Trafford.

Promising to be a future Ballon d’Or contender, Musiala appeared genuinely amazed by his surroundings and “history” during his media conference at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ on Monday night.

“Old Trafford is definitely a stadium that lots of kids would love to play in,” the Germany international said. “There is so much history there and when I was younger, the Old Trafford games always had a good atmosphere. I think the atmosphere will be amazing.”

Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel, who has previously managed both Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea as visiting teams at Old Trafford, said similar about the “special moments” and the “electricity” that the 113-year-old venue can produce.

“You see in their strong moments how strong they are and [Old Trafford] plays a big role. The spectators are emotional and the stadium creates special moments,” Tuchel explained.

“It is a difficult place to come and play, but it is a good challenge for us. For me personally, a game in Manchester United is always a big game. It cannot be described in any other way.

“[Old Trafford] There’s an energy and aura about it. When they perform well, they perform exceptionally well and are extremely dangerous in every capacity.”

With United’s Champions League status on the line, the Bayern manager is leery of a team that is desperate to win. Only Erik ten Hag’s team can advance to the knockout stages with a win and a draw in the other group match between Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

Tuchel continued, “They are always a dangerous team.” “Playing Manchester United is always risky, in my experience. They are challenging to defeat because of their distinct aura and mindset. That the team can persevere through trying times is ingrained in their DNA.”
