Al-Nassr Sets 48-Hour Deadline for Manchester City’s Ederson as Goalkeeper Search Intensifies.

Sources have informed transfer correspondent Rudy Galetti that the Saudi club wants to secure a new keeper imminently. While Al-Nassr is also interested in Liverpool’s Alisson, their move for Ederson is more advanced as they’ve already agreed on personal terms with the Manchester City player.

Ederson has agreed to a four-year deal with Al-Nassr, with a salary of around €12.5m (£10.5m) per year, equating to just over £200,000 per week. He is now pushing for the move, but Manchester City is reluctant to sell him for a low fee.

TEAMtalk can reveal that Al-Nassr has given Manchester City a 48-hour deadline to accept a bid between €25m (£21m) and €30m (£25.2m), which will be paid in instalments. The next two days will be crucial in these negotiations.

If Al-Nassr cannot finalize a deal for Ederson within this timeframe, they will turn their focus to Alisson, who is their “first choice target.” Alisson prefers to stay at Liverpool to maintain his position in the Brazilian national team, but Al-Nassr will offer a lucrative contract to change his mind if necessary.

The Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), which also owns Newcastle United and Al-Ittihad, is leading the negotiations. If Al-Ittihad fails to sign either Ederson or Alisson, PIF recruitment chiefs have other goalkeepers in mind, including Real Madrid’s Andriy Lunin, Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak, Athletico Paranaense’s Bento, Juventus’s Wojciech Szczesny, and Newcastle’s Martin Dubravka.

PIF is determined to provide top-level goalkeepers for Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad. If agreements are reached with both Ederson and Alisson, one will go to Al-Nassr and the other to Al-Ittihad, avoiding any internal conflicts. The next two days will be critical in determining Ederson’s future.
