Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s medical is postponed due to bureaucratic issues affecting his transfer to West Ham United.

Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s transfer to West Ham United has encountered a delay due to bureaucratic issues, according to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth. The right-back was scheduled for a medical at 4 PM on Sunday (11 August), but it has been postponed as final exit terms are still being negotiated at Old Trafford.

Despite the delay, Wan-Bissaka is expected to travel to East London on Sunday as both clubs work to finalize the deal. West Ham remains optimistic that an agreement will be reached soon.

The delay has introduced some chaos to what had been a smooth transfer period for the Hammers, who recently secured Jean-Clair Todibo. However, West Ham is confident that Wan-Bissaka will join their ranks shortly.

Julen Lopetegui, who has already invested significantly in his defense this summer with signings like Todibo and Max Kilman, saw the need to strengthen the fullback position. With Vladimir Coufal being the primary option and Ben Johnson leaving earlier this summer, West Ham has limited depth in that area.

Wan-Bissaka is expected to fill this gap, although the Hammers might need to wait a bit longer to secure his services. If completed, this transfer could cap off an impressive summer for West Ham at the London Stadium.
