Dates for the 2024/25 international are here
City’s 2024/25 Premier League season is here
Pep Guardiola’s team is set to defend the Premier League title once again, aiming to extend our English top-flight record to five consecutive triumphs. Alongside the league, we’ll also be pursuing success in the Carabao Cup, Champions League, and FA Cup.
Having already secured the Community Shield last weekend, we’re off to a strong start. Our league campaign kicks off with a trip to Chelsea on Sunday, August 18, followed by newly promoted Ipswich Town visiting the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, August 24.
The season will run until next spring, with the champions crowned and final standings confirmed on Sunday, May 25.
The exact dates and times for matches beyond our clash with Fulham on Saturday, October 5, are still to be determined, as broadcasters will select their games as the season progresses. The Premier League will inform clubs and fans weeks in advance to allow for proper planning.
Men’s international breaks for the 2024/25 season are set for September 1-9, October 6-14, and November 10-18, coinciding with the UEFA Nations League. Another break is scheduled for March 23-31, 2025, as the 2026 World Cup qualifiers begin. Pep Guardiola’s team will be inactive during these periods.
The mid-season break has been removed this year to accommodate an earlier Premier League start in mid-August
City will be chasing their ninth League Cup title, and their fifth under Guardiola, entering at the third round due to our involvement in the UEFA Champions League. These matches will take place in the week commencing September 16 or 23, 2024, with the final scheduled for March 16, 2025, at Wembley.
