Four of Eric Bailly’s teammates have also been expelled from the Besiktas team, with the Turkish team blaming their removal on “poor performance and incompatibility within the team.”
Bailly left Manchester United during the summer to join Besiktas, having spent seven years at Old Trafford.
His time in England was marred by injuries, and he never appeared in the Premier League more times in a season than he did in his debut season.
Injuries plagued his time in England and he never made more Premier League appearances in a single season than the 25 he managed in his first campaign with the club.
The Ivorian moved on after his contract expired at the end of last season, signing for the Turkish giants in September, but things are not going well for him.
The 29-year-old has made just five appearances in the Super Lig, the most recent being in the 3-1 home defeat to Fenerbahce on Saturday, which may well be his last game for the club.
Following the loss, which left Besiktas fifth in the Turkish top flight table, a club statement read: ‘Information from our club. 5 players from our Football A Team have been excluded from the squad.
‘Our Football Teams General Coordinator Samet Aybaba; He announced that Vincent Aboubakar, Valentin Rosier, Eric Bailly, Rachid Ghezzal and Jean Onana were excluded from the squad due to poor performance and incompatibility within the team.

Bailly spent just seven years as a Manchester United player, appearing in just 113 games.
We are still working on the new staff structure. We kindly offer it to the general public.
Bailly’s contract is only good until the end of the current campaign, so if the team can find a replacement for him in January, he might be leaving.
The five players are training apart from the first team squad for the time being, but their contracts have not been cancelled.
