Manchester City finalize personal terms to acquire 19-year-old forward for £1.5m

Manchester City are set to make their second summer signing, having agreed on personal terms with 19-year-old forward Divin Mubama. The deal, valued at £1.5 million, is close to completion.

Mubama, who recently left West Ham, will join City alongside Savinho, who made a notable debut in City’s 2-0 Premier League win over Chelsea. Although Savinho’s performance was cut short by an injury, his skillful play and promising start highlighted his potential.

Mubama, currently without a club, made 18 senior appearances for West Ham, contributing one goal and one assist. His impressive record of 58 goals in 91 matches for West Ham’s Under-18s and Under-21s underscores his talent. West Ham’s former manager, David Moyes, praised Mubama for his work ethic and performance, noting his consistent effort and impact.

While Mubama may not be the high-profile signing many City fans anticipated after Julian Alvarez’s departure, his addition reflects City’s strategy to bolster their squad with promising young talent.
