Manchester United informed of Ivan Toney’s transfer demands amid £103m offer

Ivan Toney, the Brentford striker, has been a hot topic in the transfer market, with Manchester United among the interested clubs. Toney has reportedly set high demands for a move to Saudi Arabia, seeking a salary that would make him the third-highest earner in the Premier League, just behind Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne.

Al-Ahli made a £35 million offer for Toney, proposing a three-year deal with a base salary of nearly €20 million (£17 million) and a €3 million (£2.5 million) sign-on bonus. However, Toney is reportedly demanding around €22 million (£18.7 million) annually, pushing his total potential earnings to a staggering €120 million (£103 million) over the contract period, including bonuses and allowances.

Despite this, Toney might prefer staying in Europe, with Arsenal and Manchester United showing interest. His future at Brentford is uncertain, particularly following his absence from their recent 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, which came after the rejected Saudi bid.

Brentford’s coach remains optimistic about the team’s depth, noting that players like Yoan Wissa and Bryan Mbuemo have stepped up in Toney’s absence.
