Leading team Eintracht Frankfurt will sign Manchester United outcast Van de Beek Donny

It is anticipated that Donny van de Beek will go on loan from Manchester United in January, with Eintracht Frankfurt being the front-runners to sign the midfield player for a brief contract.

The Dutchman came to Old Trafford from Ajax with a bright reputation, but he hasn’t had much of an impact. To put it mildly, his time there has been lackluster.

Since joining in 2020, the 26-year-old has only made 62 appearances, failing to impress Erik ten Hag or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer enough to warrant a spot in the starting lineup.

Van de Beek has made just one Premier League appearance so far this season, coming off the substitutes’ bench in the home defeat to Crystal Palace in September.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Van de Beek is certain to leave Manchester United in January, with Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt the most likely destination on loan.

Surprise La Liga leaders Girona are also keen on the midfielder, but Frankfurt are leading the race with talks ongoing.

Van de Beek’s Manchester United contract runs until 2025, but the club would be very happy to do a deal to sell him on a permanent basis in the summer of 2024.

The Red Devils spent £40m on his services in 2020 and would only be able to recover a fraction of that next summer, although if he impresses on a loan deal in the second half of this season then his valuation could increase.

Even the arrival of his former Ajax boss has not saved Van de Beek’s Manchester United career ()

Even if it means taking a pay cut to leave Old Trafford, Van van Beek acknowledged in January that it is time for him to start playing frequently once more.

“I’m excited to play matches once more,” he declared to The Mirror. The manager is currently making different decisions. I’m not the only one pounding on the door; our squad is pretty large. We’ll see what transpires in January.

“I need to start playing soon, either at another club or at Man United.” I believe I need to have ambition.

I’ve loved the game my entire life. I have an intense passion for football. Although I work at United and make a good living, money is not what drives me. I want every day to be enjoyable at work.
