Liverpool could make seven vc changes against Arsenal as Jurgen Klopp faces clear issue and new injury

Ryan Babel has admitted that he has regrets about his Liverpool career and still thinks how it could have been better.

The Dutchman was only 20 when he joined the Reds from Ajax in an £11.5m deal in July 2007. And while he enjoyed an impressive first season on Merseyside, returning 10 goals and six assists from 49 appearances (29 of which were starts), he ultimately struggled for consistency and fell down the pecking order in the years that followed.

He was sold to Hoffenheim in an £8m move in January 2011, having scored 22 goals in 146 appearances for Liverpool, with his exit helping finance the club’s double swoop for Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll. Only 24 at the time, he would later enjoy the best stints of his career in Turkey with Kasimpasa, Besiktas and Galatasaray.

Now 37, Babel admits he is considering retirement after terminating his contract with his last club, Turkish First League side Eyupspor, at the end of September. And reflecting on his rollercoaster time at Liverpool, the forward believes he would have enjoyed a more successful stint if he hadn’t moved to Anfield at such a young age
