Premier League Hot Takes: Arsenal Nearly Unbeatable, Man City Relegated, Klopp’s Comeback

We’ve taken bold risks with a scorching hot take for each Premier League club. If we’re right, Man City could be relegated to League Two, and Jurgen Klopp might be back on our screens.

For less daring predictions, check out our full season forecast, a traditional exercise in annual humiliation.

**Arsenal – Champions with only one league loss**

The only shocking prediction for Arsenal would be them finishing outside the top four, but we can’t see that happening, especially with their rivals expected to be slightly weaker, except maybe Manchester United and Newcastle. Aston Villa’s focus on Champions League football, Fulham’s loss of Joao Palhinha, and Newcastle’s struggles against Arsenal under the lights, suggest that Arsenal might only lose once this season, perhaps in an unexpected match like at St Mary’s or Goodison Park. This would make them league champions for the first time in two decades.

**Aston Villa – Champions League quarter-finalists**

Villa should advance out of the league phase, and with Unai Emery’s knockout football expertise—having led Villarreal to the Champions League semi-finals in 2022—they’ll be tough to beat. Emery’s track record and Villa’s spending could see them reach the quarter-finals.

**Brentford – Relegation**

Thomas Frank has done a great job at Brentford, but we fear their time in the Premier League is coming to an end. With Ivan Toney potentially leaving, Igor Thiago injured, and Yoane Wissa possibly on his way out, the Bees might struggle for goals. This could be a rough season for them, especially if the promoted teams perform better than expected.
