Fabinho, a former player for Liverpool, has backed the Premier League leaders to win the championship.
Fabinho was traded by the Reds to the Saudi Pro League in the summer of their midfield makeover.
The Brazilian, who spoke about his former club at the Club World Cup, is still a major fan of theirs.
At the Club World Cup, he told reporters, “It’s a good opportunity for them, it’s always good to be top of the league.”
“The Premier League is obviously very competitive; teams like Arsenal, City, and even Villa are vying for the championship.
“But as I said it’s always good to be top of the league and to win games, it doesn’t matter how and Liverpool have won some games by scoring after the 90th minute.
“So they’ve showed the mentality of the team. They’ve showed who they are, that they want to fight with City and the other teams to win the league.”
